Frederick 'Freddy' Knatchbull (b.2003), eldest son of The Hon. Philip Knatchbull (b.1961) - fourth son of Patricia, 2nd Countess Mountbatten of Burma (1924-2017) and John Knatchbull, 7th Lord Brabourne (1924-2005), has joined the cast of Channel 4's successful TV reality show 'Made in Chelsea' - which charts the lives (and loves!) of affluent young trendy socialites around Chelsea, Kensington, Belgravia etc in London, and Freddy said to OK Magazine

recently"I love a bit of drama – who doesn't?  But I haven't clashed with anyone – yet!"

Freddy, who like his distant cousin - HRH The Prince of Wales (b.1982) is a great-great-great-great-grandson of Queen Victoria (1819(1837-1901), is himself a great-grandson of Mountbatten and Edwina, and his own grandmother - Patricia, was the last surviving godmother of King Charles  III (1948(2022-    ).  Following in his mother's footsteps, Freddy has become a successful model and has appeared in 'The Tatler' and said recently - "it would be naïve of me not to accept that my family background gives me an initial advantage in the modelling world...  But it goes both ways. People could judge me without getting to know me first. A way of judging a book by its cover situation...  I hope to develop my own identity through my hard work and dedication."

On his illustrious great-grandfather (Mountbatten), he said - "when I talk to my friends about him, no one knows who he is!"
