NEW MOUNTBATTEN STATUE UNVEILED

As part of The Mountbatten School's 50th Anniversary celebrations, the School's Patron - The Lady Alexandra Hooper, née Knatchbull (b.1982), eldest daughter of Norton, 3rd Earl Mountbatten of Burma (b.1947) and great-granddaughter of the School's founder - Mountbatten, unveiled a bronze bust of her illustrious ancestor in the grounds of the school which bears his name.
The bronze bust of Mountbatten was cast by the Talos Foundary in Andover, Hampshire and the plinth was provided by Phoenix Marble & Granite of Wimborne, Dorset.
Lady Alexandra said - "It is a pleasure and an honour to be invited to unveil this statue of my great-grandfather on the School’s 50th Anniversary. This illustrates and strengthens our relationship and is a splendid tribute. It is a mark of 50 years of hard work and commitment by the school and its high standards. Congratulations, and I look forward to visiting the School many more times in the future."
