It was reported that India Hicks stole a Max Mara ladies' coat (worth £680) from a branch of Harrods at London's Heathrow Airport in January 2021. She stated that she had been "absent-minded", had not intended to leave without paying. The Court accepted that she was full of remorse for the mistake and had later returned the coat.
The District Judge accepted India's guilty plea and was conditionally discharged for three months, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £22 victim surcharge.
